THE MEETING
After a lot of coordination for this meeting , which had been postponed after the swine flu week, today the meeting was finally finalized today at 2. The meeting was attended by:
- Prof. Abhay Bambole (Faculty coordinator of e-cell)
- Dr. Talele (Faculty coordinator of e-cell)
- Mr. Probal Roy Chowdhary (NEN coordinator)
- Mr. Rajendra (Raj) Bhat (Advisor)
along with all the e-cell committee members. The agenda of the meeting was kept simple starting with the formal introduction of the committee members, followed by discussing the events that we propose to do and whether they would be feasible or not.
Impetus, which was held last semester, was quite a hit with students wanting to participate in it. So we decided on an intensive short business plan program for enthusiasts. Also, we contemplated on the E-Week and how it should be organized in college. Discussion on an integrated plan with other colleges for the events also was done at length. Also there are some more major plans which we’ll tell as soon as finalized. But of course since our semester is short, we plan for a full fledged calendar of events next semester.
What we learned from this entire meeting was its just not the brand building of the e-cell which is important, it’s not just the number of events that we do counts, it’s not just the number of people participating in events which is important, but it’s what we and the members of the committee takes back from the entire process matters. Even if 5 out of 50 people who participate in some event are successful enough in starting their own ventures or start exploring their capabilities then that would be a small achievement in itself.
